Sending a file with your E-mail
Whenever you want to send a file with your
email, its called attachment. The file could be text, sound, picture or any
other data. Bellow is the method for attaching files with your @hotmail.com
account. The procedure is the same in all email programs (clients) such as Outlook
Express, Out Look 2000, Netscape etc.. The only thing you should remember is the
size of the file you are sending. Hotmail dos not allow a file with more than
1000KB size. The larger the file size, the longer it takes to be sent.
While you are composing a new mail as usual
in hotmail , click on the ATTACHMENT.
And now this new screen appears:
Click on Browse to find and locate the file
in your computer either in the floppy drive or in CD ROM or in the hard disk.
After clicking you will see this window:
This one depends on your computer and depends
on what have you done few mints ago. But any ways click on the arrow
at the drop down menu beside Look in: as shown at the above picture to see it like this
Now if you want to select a file
from Floppy disk then click on the Floppy which may be A: or something
else . If you want to select a file from the hard disk just click on the hard
drive; in the above example C: is the main hard drive.
Now select the file from the list (click on
the file you want to send ) and click Open to see this screen:
Now click on the Attach to Message.
It may
take a while (depending to the file you are sending and the speed of your
internet connection) and then click on the Done button to return to the
compose screen.
Now you will see the name of the file you are
sending at the tope of the TEXT area. Type your message and email address
and Send it. GOOD luck :-)
